Respect the student voice - We will DIVEST!
Last year we voted to adopt a socially responsible investment policy, divest from companies profiting off of Israel’s occupation of Palestine and ban Caterpillar Inc. equipment use on campus. This remarkable victory was followed by the Evergreen Board of Trustees squelching the student voice at every turn by refusing to put the issue on the agenda of their meeting. The college recently revised its mission to include social justice. Shouldn’t the way we invest our money reflect our shared values? Tell the Evergreen Board of Trustees what you think!
